India's triumph over New Zealand in the fifth and final T20 International against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui on Sunday (February 2, 2020) was marred by the news of the International Cricket Council (ICC) penalising the Men in Blue 20 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate. Chris Broad of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after India were ruled to be one over short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.
